To be given a project to transform a mother’s wedding gown into a contemporary design for a new bride is exhilarating. Releasing stitches and letting the fabric flow to reveal itself and the story it tells. How the gown was cut it a part of history. Now a creative way to cut to achieve the transformation.
It has a soft fantasy feel with a lovely filigree drape incorporating all the fabrics. The lttle pearl buttons stay in place where special fingers will again secure the gown.
